Our fantastic paediatric team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital work tirelessly to ensure younger patients and their families feel reassured and at ease during their hospital stay; they are always looking at how they can improve the care and experience for their patients.

This year Jacobs has joined The Royal Berks Charity by becoming the principal business partner for the children’s ward appeal – see how Jacobs are fundraising.

The ward cares for patients who range in age from newborn to 16 years old, the recliners will ensure parents and carers are as comfortable as possible during a difficult time and will greatly enhance their experience.

Another element of the project will be the refurbishment of the playroom, an essential facility for the children.

Therapeutic play can ease any feelings of anxiety and help recovery, and along with the amazing play, the team is a key component of the children’s stay.
