LAVENDER PLACE GARDENS MIGRATE CROSSTOWN
17.02.2023
Lavender Place Community Garden, the temporary green space on the site of the former Civic Offices has moved so that the re-development of the Minster Quarter can begin. A team of Reading Borough Council volunteers joined Food4families community gardeners to complete the move to a new site at the Royal Berkshire Hospital Oasis Wellbeing Centre in Craven Road.
Royal Berks Charity are collaborating with Food4families to help us create a staff wellbeing garden using plants and hard landscaping recycled from Lavender Place. This exciting project will create a haven a stone’s throw from the main entrance of the hospital, and give hard-pressed staff the opportunity to relax, eat lunch, take time out from the stress of the hospital routine.
